Farmers’ Kitchen Series – We’ll get you cookin’!

Last year we introduced the Farmers’ Kitchen series at the clock tower patio, and it was a big success! This year it will be bigger, better and hosted by some of the best chefs in the area. In total, there will be sixteen culinary demonstrations throughout the 2012 Overland Park Farmers’ Market season.

At each demonstration, our featured chef will select seasonal offerings from the market and prepare a delish dish that you can easily make at home. Why? Because all the ingredients are right inside the market pavilion. Here is a partial list of what we have cookin’ this year:

May 19 – Broadmoor Technical w/ Chef Justin

June 16 – Cheese-Making – Kathy Landers, Landeria Farm

June 23 – Vegan Life – Heidi Belle

July 11 – Summer Smoothies – Whole Foods

August 18 – Celebrate Julia Child – KC Art Institute, Culinary

Farm to table is your best bet for summer eating, and you’ll love it!
