Visit Historic Downtown Overland Park for These Great Shopping Opportunities During the Holiday Season
Third Thursdays
Downtown stays up late on the third Thursday of every month! Area merchants provide refreshments, prizes, and unique shopping opportunities; and concerts are held at the Clock Tower from 5:30-7:30pm. Discount coupons redeemable at Ten Thousand Villages, Kendall Drive Toys, Harper's Fabric & Quilt, Now & Then and more are available at those stores and on the Downtown Overland Park Partnership website. Other Downtown retail merchants staying open late include The Culinary Center, Traditions Furniture, and all area restaurants. Holiday Market
Get a jump start on holiday shopping with crafts, food and gift items from the area's unique crafters, bakers and retailers every Saturday in November from 9am to 1pm. Stay after for lunch and more shopping downtown. The Holiday Market is located in the 7900 block between Marty Street and Santa Fe Drive in Downtown Overland Park, under the Farmers Market pavilion. The Downtown Overland Park Partnership is accepting applications for Holiday Market vendors. Single spots are $75 for the season, and double spots are $125. Applications are available by calling 913.642.2222 or online at www.downtownop.org.
Charitable Shopping at Ten Thousand Villages
Each Tuesday and Thursday evening, Ten Thousand Villages, a fair trade retailer in Downtown Overland Park, opens their hearts and hands to area charitable organizations. During certain dates and times, 15% of profits are donated to those charities. By purchasing items from these participating merchants, you're also supporting local charitable organizations. All times are 5-8pm unless otherwise noted.
