Seeking Arts and Crafts and Food Venors (3/13/2009)

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- A pinch of the old and a dash of the new, Downtown Overland Park is planning the biggest party in the history of Downtown Overland Park Days, June 5 and 6.

Arts/Craft vendors are being sought for this family fun-filled event. Applications may be obtained by contacting Kate Maricle or downloading the application from the Web site www.downtownop.org. The arts and crafts festival portion of the event is open to the public on June 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. More than 5,000 visitors will be looking for arts and crafts ranging from metalwork to pottery.

Food vendors seeking to serve food and drink at this two-day event are encouraged to also download their application from the Web site. Contact Kate Maricle if you have any questions. No matter your specialty, there's an appetite for exactly what you sell.

The day is filled with attractions for every age, and bands that will appeal to a broad range of folks. The beer garden is open from 4-11:00 p.m. each day of the event. Downtown Overland Park Mardi Gras Days is the unique event every family will be seeking to attend. Application deadline is May 22, so hurry and don't delay. Vendors are placed on a first come, first serve basis.
