Downtown Overland Park is Heating Up - Hot Pepper Eatin' Contest Scheduled (8/20/2009)

Overland Park, Kan. – On Saturday, August 29, local pepper grower Cobinsteinz Farms is hosting a hot pepper-eatin’ contest, providing the produce and leading contestants through a series of peppers that becomes progressively hotter. How long can you hang in there? Take a chance at winning prizes from downtown merchants. Contest runs from 1:00-2:00pm under the clock tower on the 7900 block of Santa Fe Drive, adjacent to the farmers’ market.

Just call the downtown Overland Park Partnership at (913) 642-2222 to reserve your spot. Twenty brave eaters will be accepted to compete.
