Downtown Overland Park Partnership award winners named and new board members and officers approved at annual meeting
Overland Park, Kan. – The Downtown Overland Park Partnership held its annual meeting on Tuesday, February 23. New board members and officers were elected, and the annual Partnership Awards were presented by Mayor Carl Gerlach.
Partnership Awards are given to downtown merchants, property owners, or sponsors making a significant impact on the advancement of downtown business development, image, and consumer traffic.
Three corporate sponsors were honored. O’Neill Honda, owner Rick O’Neill; Metcalf Bank, branch manager Therese Goldstein; and Summerfield Development/Townhomes at Buckley Court, developer John Foudray were awarded for their continued support.
Paula Yoakum of Metcalf Bank was honored as volunteer of the year, and Taste restaurant, owner Jonathan Dallen, was named business of the year.
New Downtown Overland Park Partnership board members and officers for 2010 are as follows:
President –John Miller; Owner of Maloney’s Bar and Grill
Vice-President – Elaine Johnson, owner of Harper’s Fabric & Quilt Co.
Secretary – Amanda Young-Cale, owner of both Green Light and Sugar Pop Kids
New Members:
Therese Goldstein, branch manager of Metcalf Bank
Chrissy Greig, director of operations for The Other Place
Diane McCarthy, owner of Olive Branch Art Gallery & Studios
Steven Mitchell, owner of Red Bench Café
