Dragon Inn restaurant celebrates 35 years in business
Overland Park, Kan. – The Dragon Inn, an authentic Chinese restaurant in historic downtown Overland Park, is celebrating its 35th anniversary on March 10.
Mr. and Mrs. To Ping Tsui founded the restaurant in 1975 at 7500 West 80th Street, and it has since become an icon of historic downtown Overland Park, known for its authentic Peking and Szechuan dishes. A second location in Prairie Village has been open for 22 years.
The restaurants are now owned and managed by the second generation of Tsui, the brother-and-sister team of Thomas Tsui and Catherine Kot. Thomas and Catherine have been working in the family business since they were teenagers. The family’s third generation of teens is actively learning the ropes, as well.
To celebrate this milestone of the downtown Overland Park restaurant, that location is offering free crab Rangoon on March 10, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
